[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 사천시가 소규모 주민숙원사업의 신속한 집행을 위해 구성한 '합동설계단'이 총 86건의 실시설계를 완료해 시민들의 호응을 얻었다.
사천시 시설직 공무원 4개 반 34명으로 꾸려진 합동설계단은 작년 12월 8일부터 지난 23일까지 7주간 농로 정비, 용·배수로 정비, 소하천 및 마을안길 정비 등 주민 생활과 직결된 사업을 중심으로 설계를 진행했다.
현장 여건을 직접 확인하고 주민 의견을 반영해, 실제 시공 단계에서의 시행착오를 최소화하는 데 초점을 맞췄다.
이번 합동설계단 운영으로 약 3억원의 실시설계비 절감 효과가 기대되며 설계 완료 사업은 기후 여건을 고려해 순차적으로 착공할 예정이다.
사천시는 조기 발주를 통해 지역 업체 참여를 확대하고 침체된 지역경제에 활력을 불어넣겠다는 방침이다.
박동식 시장은 "설계 단계부터 속도를 높여 주민 불편을 줄이고 예산 집행의 효율성을 높였다"며 "2월 중 조기 발주를 통해 영농 불편을 최소화하고 지역경제 활성화로 이어질 수 있도록 하겠다"고 말했다.
