[브레이크뉴스 양주=김태영 기자] 경기도 양주시 광적면 소재 이큐(EQ)음악학원(가납초등학교 정문 앞) 마정주 원장은 ‘나사로 청소년의 집 촉법소년 음악교육 공로’로 김동현 경기도지사 표창을 오늘 28일 양주시장으로부터 전수받았다.
양주시 남면에 소재한 ‘나사로 청소년의 집’은 위기 청소년들이 건강한 사회 구성원으로 성장할 수 있도록 돕는 아동복지시설로 촉법소년들에게 생활 지원, 심리 및 정서케어, 교육 및 진로 지원을 하고 있는 사회복지법인 한국장로교복지재단에서 운영하는 곳이다.
이날 경기도지사 표창을 받은 마정주 원장은 모 대학의 피아노 전공자로 약 35년간 피아노 전문학원을 운영해 왔으며, 특히 '나사로 청소년의 집'에서 심리 및 정서 케어를 위한 음악 레슨을 약 15년간 활동을 한 공로이다.

한편, 마 원장은 "크게 한 일이 없는데 과분한 표창을 받아 송구스럽고 감사드린다. 해맑은 청소년들에게 피아노 음악교육을 하면서, 한때 잘못은 했지만, 실력도 있고, 끼도 있는 보석 같은 아이들을 보면 안타까운 마음이 들었다"라고 말했다.
