[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 국립창원대학교는 폴란드를 방문해 현지 3개 대학과 협력 방안을 논의하고, 국제학술교류협정(MOU)을 체결했다고 29일 밝혔다. 이번 방문에는 국립창원대 김태식 국제처장, 김영찬 부처장, 이성환 글로컬협력센터장이 참여했으며, 폴란드 주요 도시의 대학을 순차적으로 방문하며 협력 확대 방안을 모색했다.
국립창원대 방문단은 먼저 포즈난 소재 아담 미츠키에비츠대학교(Adam Mickiewicz University)를 방문해 브로비악 안나(Borbiak Anna) 한국어학과장, 피오트르 노박(Piotr Nowak) 민족언어학부 학장, 다니엘 지에니시에비츠(Daniel Dzienisiewicz) 민족언어학부 부학장, 코스티안틴 마주르(Kostiantyn Mazur) 국제처 담당관 등과 면담을 진행했다.
양 대학은 올해 3월부터 상호 파견할 교환학생의 선발 작업을 이미 완료하였으며, 향후 더 많은 교수·직원·학생 교류가 이루어질 수 있도록 논의하고, 본교 글로벌 코디네이터로 참여할 학생 선발 및 운영 방안에 대해서도 협의했다.

양 대학은 소재 도시 규모 및 특성, 그리고 대학 연혁과 학생수 등 여러 공통점을 바탕으로 연구자 교류, 공동 연구, 학생 교환 프로그램 확대 방안을 논의했다.
김태식 국제처장은 “이번 폴란드 방문을 통해 3개 대학과 협력 네트워크를 구축하고, 실질적 교류 확대의 기반을 다진 것은 의미 있는 성과”라며 “각 대학의 특성과 강점을 반영한 맞춤형 교류 프로그램을 개발해 실질적인 협력을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다”고 설명했다.
