【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=진천 센트럴허브물류센터 착공식이 지난 28일 광혜원면 행정복지센터 대회의실에서 열렸다.
이날 착공식은 시행사인 센트럴허브피에프브이(주)의 켄달스퀘어 자산운용과 NH투자증권, 시공사 KCC건설 관계자와 지역주민 100여 명이 참석한 가운데 열렸다.
진천 센트럴허브물류센터는 약 330,578㎡ 부지, 전체 면적 약 396,694㎡, 지하 2층~지상 4층 규모의 물류센터 3개 동으로 구성되는 대규모 민간개발로 추진된다.
사업 대상지인 광혜원면 실원리 산 23번지 일원은 당초 신한은행 연수원 개발부지로서 20여 년간 사업이 중단돼 왔으며 진천 센트럴허브물류센터로 탄생하게 됐다.
1단계 사업으로 2개 동은 오는 2028년 상반기에 준공 예정이다.
한편, 시행사는 이날 광혜원면 지역사회보장협의체에 이웃돕기 성금을 기탁하며 지역 발전을 응원하는 시간도 가졌다.
군 관계자는 “진천 센트럴허브물류센터가 지역 경제에 활력을 불어넣고 진천이 대한민국 물류산업의 중심지로 자리매김할 수 있는 중요한 전환점이 되길 기대한다”고 말했다.
