【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=증평군농업기술센터는 29일 농업기술센터 소회의실에서 과수화상병의 사전 예방과 효과적인 방제를 위한 과수화상병 방제협의회를 개최했다.
이번 협의회는 최근 기후변화로 병해 발생 양상이 복잡해지고 과수화상병의 선제적 대응 중요성이 높아짐에 따라 지역 실정에 맞는 방제 약제를 선정하기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 협의회에는 농업기술센터 관계자를 비롯해 과수 재배농가 대표, 작목반 임원, 병해충 분야 전문가 등이 참석해 △최근 과수화상병 발생 동향 △방제약제별 특성과 방제 효과 △약제 안전사용 기준 △농가 현장 적용성 등을 종합적으로 점검했다.
특히 실제 재배 현장에서의 활용 가능성과 예방 효과를 중심으로 심도 있는 논의가 이뤄졌다.
군은 협의회 논의 결과를 바탕으로 지역 여건에 최적화된 과수화상병 방제약제를 최종 선정하고, 농가 교육과 현장 홍보를 통해 적기·적정 방제가 이뤄지도록 지도할 계획이다.
아울러 방제 시기별 현장 기술지원을 강화해 병 발생 이후 대응이 아닌 발생 전 차단 중심의 예방 방제체계를 더욱 공고히 한다는 방침이다.
김덕태 소장은 “과수화상병은 한번 발생하면 피해가 큰 만큼 사전 예방이 무엇보다 중요하다”며 “행정과 농가가 긴밀히 협력해 철저한 예찰과 적기 방제로 과수 농가 피해를 최소화하는 데 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
