[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시교육청이 오는 30일 오전 10시 홈페이지를 통해 2026학년도 평준화 적용 일반고 배정 결과를 공개한다.
올해 배정 인원은 평준화 대상 89개 일반고에 정원 내 1만6,497명과 정원 외 57명을 포함해 모두 1만6,554명이다.
배정된 학생들은 30일 오후 2시 각 학교에서 열리는 예비소집에 참석해야 하며, 입학 등록은 다음달 2일과 3일 이틀간 진행된다. 등록 절차는 학교마다 다를 수 있어 해당 학교 홈페이지 등을 통해 사전 확인이 필요하다.
일반고 배정은 학생의 지망과 주소지 정보를 반영해 ‘선 복수 지원, 후 추첨 배정’을 원칙으로 진행됐다.
1단계에서는 광역 학군 단위로 학교별 정원의 40%를 제1지망 지원자 중에서, 2단계에서는 지역 학군별로 정원의 20%를 제2지망 지원자 중에서 추첨 배정한다.
이후 미충원 인원은 3·4단계를 통해 지망 학생 중 추가 추첨으로 채우며, 끝으로 5단계에서는 배정을 받지 못한 학생들을 대상으로 거주지 인근 통학권 내에서 전산 배정을 실시한다.
김혜선 시교육청 중등교육과장은 “지역별 거주 학생 수와 학교별 지원율의 차이가 커 배정 과정이 쉽지 않았다”며 “학급당 정원과 학급 수를 조정해 최대한 학생들의 희망 학교에 배정될 수 있도록 노력했다”고 말했다.

The assignment covers 89 general high schools in the city’s equalized-area system, with 16,554 students placed, including 16,497 within regular quotas and 57 in additional slots.
Students must attend preliminary meetings at their assigned schools at 2 p.m. the same day and complete registration Feb. 2–3, following each school’s specific instructions posted on its website. The registration process can vary by school, so students and parents are advised to check procedures in advance.
The assignment system combines multiple school choices with a computerized lottery while also taking students’ residential addresses into account to keep them within their commuting zones. In the first phase, 40 percent of each school’s seats are filled from first-choice applicants within the wider district, and in the second phase, 20 percent are filled from second-choice applicants within local districts.
If vacancies remain after these rounds, the third and fourth phases allocate seats by lottery among remaining applicants who listed the school, and a fifth phase assigns any students still unplaced based on their home address within a unified school district.
Kim Hye-seon, head of secondary education at the Busan office, said uneven numbers of students and varying application rates by area made the process challenging but added that the office adjusted class sizes and numbers “to place as many students as possible in the schools they hoped to attend.”
