[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 함양군이 경남 도내 시군 가운데 작년 연간 방문객 수가 가장 높은 증가율을 기록한 것으로 나타났다.
한국관광공사 데이터랩 분석 결과에 따르면, 함양군의 2025년 연간 방문객 수는 877만 6,845명으로 집계됐다.
이는 2024년 방문객 수인 756만 8,950명 대비 약 16% 증가한 수치로 가장 높은 증가율이다.
지난 4년간 증가율은 75.1%로 이러한 방문객 증가는 최근 수년간 추진된 관광 관련 정책이 작용한 결과로 분석된다.
함양군은 지리산과 덕유산을 동시에 품은 산악지역의 특성을 바탕으로 산악완등 인증사업 ‘오르GO 함양’을 본격 운영했으며, 최근 등산과 트레킹을 즐기는 젊은 층부터 중장년층까지 폭넓은 방문객을 유입시키며 체류형 관광 활성화의 핵심 동력이 되고 있다.
