[Break News Yangju=Kim Wan-young] On January 28th, Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province, held the "2026 First Yangju City Integrated Support Council Appointment Ceremony and Regular Meeting," marking the official start of its efforts to establish a community-centered integrated care system.
At the event, a total of 19 individuals, including private sector experts in the fields of health, medical care, welfare, and housing, city council members, and relevant public officials, were appointed as members of the first Integrated Support Council.
The Integrated Support Council is a public-private cooperative body designed to integrate care services, such as medical care, nursing care, and caregiving, which have traditionally been provided separately, and to establish an efficient support system. It will play a key advisory and cooperative role in the future implementation of Yangju City's integrated care policy.
This regular meeting reviewed the 2026 Integrated Care Implementation Plan and engaged in extensive discussions on customized integrated support measures tailored to each region to address the deepening aging population and increasing demand for care.
The committee members agreed to bridge the gaps in care by leveraging the human and material resources of each organization and to establish a practical care system through the operation of a targeted, integrated support council.
Yangju Mayor Kang Soo-hyun stated, "The launch of the Integrated Support Council is a crucial starting point for Yangju City's integrated care policy. We will gradually complete an integrated care system in which the public and private sectors collaborate to ensure that all citizens can continue to live dignified lives in their own homes."
