【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군청소년수련관이 겨울방학을 맞아 운영 중인 ‘청수네 슬기로운 겨울방학’ 프로그램이 지역 청소년들로부터 큰 호응을 얻고 있다.
이번 겨울방학 프로그램은 1월 12일부터 2월 27일까지 운영되며, 청소년의 자기주도적 성장과 균형 있는 발달을 목표로 총 4개 프로그램으로 구성됐다.
주요 프로그램으로는 △독서를 통해 사고력과 표현력을 기르는 ‘슬로우리딩’△놀이와 체험 중심으로 수학에 대한 흥미를 높이는 ‘수학놀이터’△음악과 운동을 결합한 신체활동 프로그램인 ‘음악줄넘기’△일상에서 벗어나 현장에서 직접 보고 배우는 ‘현장체험’등이다.
학습과 놀이, 신체활동과 체험을 균형 있게 결합한 구성으로 청소년과 학부모 모두의 만족도를 높이고 있다.
프로그램과 함께 수련관 내 다양한 청소년 전용 공간도 겨울방학 기간 활발히 이용되고 있다.
노래연습실과 밴드·댄스연습실을 비롯해 보드게임실, 배드민턴·탁구·풋살 등 체육활동 공간, 북카페, 자치활동실(동아리실) 등은 청소년이라면 누구나 무료로 이용할 수 있어 방학 중 건전한 여가 공간으로 자리 잡고 있다.
김병노 관장은 “겨울방학 기간 청소년들이 의미 있게 시간을 보내며 스스로 성장할 수 있도록 프로그램을 구성했다”며 “앞으로도 청소년이 행복한 증평을 만들기 위해 체험·진로·문화·예술·스포츠 분야 전반에서 다양한 기회를 제공하겠다”고 말했다.
