전북 익산시가 도내 최초로 장애인사이클 실업팀 창단을 위한 신호탄을 쏘아 올렸다.
익산시는 30일 시청 회의실에서 원광대학교병원ㆍ익산시 장애인체육회ㆍ한국장애인고용공단 전북지사와 '장애인실업팀 육성 및 고용 활성화'를 골자로 4자 업무협약을 체결하고 손에 손을 맞잡았다.
이번 협약은 단순한 팀 창단을 넘어 장애인 선수가 한 기관의 직원으로 채용돼 경제적 안정을 누리며 운동에 전념할 수 있는 '민ㆍ관 협력 고용 모델'로 각별한 의미가 담겼다.
4개 기관은 전문 영역을 바탕으로 장애인 선수들이 운동에만 전념할 수 있도록 두터운 지원망 구축에 의지를 모았다.
