Yangju City's Hoecheon 1-dong Administrative Welfare Center to Open New Building on February 9th
The complex building will provide not only administrative services but also a multi-functional living space that organically integrates childcare, caregiving, culture, and youth activities.
[Break News Yangju=Kim Wan-young] Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province, will begin operating administrative services at the new Hoecheon 1-dong complex building on February 9th, following the completion of construction that took three years and seven months.
The new building, located at 67 Deokjeong-gil, Yangju City, has eight floors above ground and two underground levels, with a total floor area of 10,013 square meters.
The Hoecheon 1-dong complex building was built as part of the "Gyeonggi Dream Community Living SOC Complexization Project." This project aims to integrate previously dispersed administrative, caregiving, and cultural functions into a single space, enhancing resident convenience and contributing to the revitalization of the local community.
Main facilities include the Administrative Welfare Center on the 2nd floor and the Community Autonomy Center on the 7th and 8th floors, which will open first. Additionally, various public and residential facilities, including the Public Hoecheon Daycare Center on the first floor, the Hoecheon 1-dong Community Care Center on the third floor, the Hoecheon Living and Culture Center on the fourth floor, and the Yangju Youth Center on the fifth and sixth floors, are scheduled to move in by the first half of 2026.
A Yangju City official stated, "The Hoecheon 1-dong complex office building will not only provide administrative services, but also serve as a living social infrastructure complex where childcare, care, culture, and youth activities will organically integrate. We will strive to play a new central role in revitalizing the local community by integrating the efficient operation of public facilities and the daily support functions of residents."
