고양특례시가 과수화상병 청정지역 유지를 위해 선제적 예방 체계 강화에 나섰다.
시는 지난 3일 농업기술센터에서 '2026년 과수화상병 방제약제 선정 회의 및 예방 교육'을 개최했다고 4일 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 사전 예방 중심의 대응 체계를 강화하고, 내년도 방제약제 선정 방향을 농업인과 함께 논의하기 위해 마련됐다.
관내 사과·배 재배 농가 40명이 참석해 높은 관심을 보였다.

회의에서는 2026년 예산 여건을 고려해 수급이 안정적이고 현장 공급이 원활한 약제를 중심으로 방제 체계를 구성하는 방안이 제시됐다.
참석 농가들의 의견을 수렴해 1차·2차·3차 방제 약제 구성안에 대한 최종안을 결정했다.
이어진 예방 교육에서는 문성호 강사가 과수화상병의 주요 증상, 예찰 요령, 예방 관리 방법 등을 집중 강의했다.
특히 실제 과원 관리에 도움이 되는 전정 요령 시연도 함께 진행해 농가들의 실무 역량 강화에 기여했다.
시 관계자는 "이번 회의에서 수렴된 농가 의견을 바탕으로 2026년 과수화상병 방제약제 선정 및 공급 계획을 확정할 것"이라며 "적기 방제를 통해 과수화상병 청정지역을 계속 유지해 나가겠다"고 밝혔다.
한편 과수화상병은 사과·배나무 등에 발생하는 세균성 병해로, 한번 발생하면 빠르게 확산돼 과수원 전체를 폐원해야 할 정도로 피해가 크다.
