【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 중구와 중구가족센터가 설 명절을 앞두고 중구생활문화센터에서 ‘다문화 가족과 함께하는 설 명절 전통문화 배우기’ 행사를 개최했다.
이날 행사에는 지역 내 결혼이주여성 15명이 참여해, 설 명절의 의미와 풍습을 배웠다. 참가자들은 직접 만두를 빚고 떡국용 떡을 준비하면서 명절 음식 만들기 체험도 진행했다.
행사는 설의 유래와 차례, 음식문화 등을 알기 쉽게 소개하는 시간으로 시작됐다. 이어진 체험에서는 만두와 떡국 떡을 만드는 등 한국 명절의 준비 과정을 직접 경험하며 식문화를 익혔다.
참가자들이 함께 만든 음식은 행사 후 지역의 어려운 이웃들에게 전달됐다. 행사에 그치지 않고, ‘배움에서 나눔으로 이어지는 명절 문화’를 실천했다는 점이 눈길을 끌었다.
임시아 중구가족센터장은 “다문화가정이 한국 명절 문화를 자연스럽게 이해하고, 지역사회의 일원으로 안정적으로 정착할 수 있도록 이번 프로그램을 마련했다”고 설명했다.
류규하 중구청장은 “다문화가정의 의견을 반영해 행사를 준비한 중구가족센터 직원들의 노고에 감사드린다”며, “앞으로도 다문화가정이 지역에 잘 뿌리내릴 수 있도록 지속적으로 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.
