【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 이재영 증평군수가 5일 증평 벨포레리조트 세미나 B홀에서 열린 ‘가톨릭꽃동네대학교 충북 RISE사업 성과포럼’에 참석해 보건복지 기반 RISE 추진을 위한 지자체의 역할과 협력 방향을 주제로 발표했다.
가톨릭꽃동네대학교(총장 이종서)가 주관한 이번 포럼은 충북 RISE사업 추진 1년의 성과를 공유하고, 지역사회와 대학 간 협력 모델을 모색하기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 포럼에는 이종서 총장을 비롯해 지역 복지기관 관계자 등 60여 명이 참석했다.
포럼은 개회식을 시작으로 유태종 충북인재평생교육진흥원 원장의 기조 강연에 이어, 이재영 군수의 주제 발표 순으로 진행됐다.
이 군수는 발표에서 대학의 전문성과 지자체의 실행력이 결합된 협력 구조의 중요성을 강조했다.
특히 증평군이 추진 중인 증평형 돌봄 정책을 사례로 제시하며, 가톨릭꽃동네대학교와의 협력을 통해 노인돌봄 서비스의 실효성과 완성도를 높이는 방향을 구체적으로 제시해 주목을 받았다.
이재영 군수는 “대학의 보건복지 전문성이 지자체의 실행력과 결합될 때 비로소 주민들이 체감할 수 있는 복지 서비스로 이어질 수 있다”며 “증평군은 대학의 연구 성과가 현장 중심의 돌봄 정책으로 구현될 수 있도록 협력을 강화해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
이종서 총장은 “이번 포럼은 지자체와 대학이 함께 지역의 미래를 설계하는 의미 있는 자리였다”며 “증평군과의 협력을 바탕으로 충북의 보건복지 수준을 높이는 데 대학의 역할을 충실히 하겠다”고 말했다.
