Yangju Dulhana Choir and Yangju Lake Choir Officially Selected for the 2026 Yangju City Arts Troupe New Year's Concert
Unlike last year, the 2026 New Year's Concert will feature a "City Symphony Orchestra and City Choir Performance" and a private choir.
[Break News Yangju=Kim Wan-young] The Yangju City Arts Troupe (Yangju City Symphony Orchestra and Yangju City Choir) in Gyeonggi Province will hold an open call for two private choirs for the "2026 New Year's Concert" at 7:00 PM on Saturday, March 14th in the basement auditorium of the Gyeonggi Textile Support Center. The "Yangju Dulhana Choir" and the "Yangju Lake Choir" have been officially selected.
The piece to be performed will be "Uhyowon's Ah, Republic of Korea," the fourth movement of Geongon Gamri, a collaboration with the Yangju City Choir.
In particular, the Yangju Two-Hana Choir (Director Jeon Ok, Conductor Kim Soo-mi, Accompanist Lee Hyeon) experienced a loss of members after the former director resigned after leading the group for about two years, leading to the establishment of a separate choir. However, they are finding stability after being selected as the choir to perform with the Yangju City Arts Troupe at their Spring Concert.
