[브레이크뉴스 양주=김완영 기자] 경기도 양주시(시장 강수현)가 6일 제107회 전국동계체육대회에서 우수한 성적을 거둔 입상 선수들을 초청해 격려 간담회를 개최했다.
이번 행사는 전국대회에서 뛰어난 성과를 거둔 선수들의 노고를 격려하고, 지역 빙상 스포츠의 성장 가능성을 함께 공유하기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 간담회에는 덕현중학교 3학년 김범 선수와 덕현중학교 1학년 권경현 선수가 참석했다. 김범 선수는 스피드스케이팅 남자 15세 이하부 5,000m, 3,000m, 팀추월 종목에서 모두 1위를 차지하며 3관왕에 올랐고, 권경현 선수는 쇼트트랙 여자 15세 이하부 3,000m 종목에서 3위를 기록하는 성과를 거뒀다.
간담회에는 양주시장을 비롯해 임재근 양주시체육회장, 선수단과 학부모, 체육회 관계자들이 참석했으며, 양정현 양주시민회장도 함께해 선수단의 성과를 격려하고 축하했다.
양정현 양주시민회장은 “선수들의 성과가 지역사회에 주는 의미가 깊다”며 “앞으로도 시민 차원의 지속적인 응원과 관심이 이어지길 바란다”고 전했다.
