포천시는 지난 6일 시청 시정회의실에서 ‘포천시 상권친화형도시 조성사업 실행계획 수립 연구용역’ 착수보고회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이날 보고회에는 포천시 상권활성화협의체 위원, 상인회 대표, 시의회 의원 및 관계 공무원들이 참석해 머리를 맞댔다. 참석자들은 연구용역의 추진 방향과 과업 범위에 대한 설명을 듣고, 현장의 애로사항과 실질적인 상권 활성화 방안에 대해 심도 있는 의견을 나눴다.

이번 용역은 관내 상권의 현황을 정밀 진단하고, 지역 특성에 맞는 중·장기 종합 발전 계획을 수립하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 시는 오는 5월 1일까지 진행되는 이번 연구를 통해 ▲권역별 상권 특성 분석 ▲소상공인 원스톱 지원센터 운영 모델 개발 ▲상권 특화 문화콘텐츠 발굴 ▲상인 자생력 강화를 위한 자산화 방안 등을 구체화할 방침이다.
특히, 단순한 환경 개선을 넘어 상인들이 스스로 성장할 수 있는 기반을 마련하고, 시민들이 체감할 수 있는 매력적인 상권 환경을 조성하는 데 역량을 집중한다는 계획이다.

포천시 관계자는 “이번 연구용역은 포천시 상권의 체질을 개선하고 경쟁력을 높이는 중요한 첫 단추”라며 “현장의 목소리와 전문가의 제언을 꼼꼼히 반영해 우리 시 실정에 딱 맞는 실효성 있는 실행 계획을 도출하겠다”고 전했다.
