군은 생활권 연결성을 강화하고 통행 불편을 해소하기 위해 25억 원의 예산을 투입, 관내 주요 도시계획도로 개설 및 정비 사업을 추진한다고 6일 밝혔다.
2025년에는 총 26억 원을 투입해 음성읍 소로1-69호선(코아루 진입도로), 금왕읍 소로2-88호선(금왕신협 뒤), 소로2-3호선(자이아파트 앞) 등 3개 구간의 도시계획도로를 확충해 주민들의 호응을 얻었다.
올해 사업 대상을 확대해 총 6개 구간에 대한 설계, 보상 및 공사를 진행한다.
우선 본격적인 공사가 추진되는 곳은 △음성읍 소로1-8호선(음성교육도서관 옆) △맹동면 소로2-5호선(맹동면행정복지센터 뒤) △대소면 대로3-3호선(삼정지구-미호천 구간) 등 3개 노선이다.
이와 함께 장기 미집행 시설 해소와 향후 공사 착수를 위한 사전 절차도 병행한다.
