[노병한의 관상·칼럼] 사람은 누구나 태어나 죽음에 이르기까지 운명의 전쟁 속에서 살아간다. 운명전쟁(運命戰爭)은 단순한 개인 간의 경쟁이 아니다. 운명전쟁은 ‘시대운(時代運)·집단의 욕망·개인의 팔자·환경의 압력’이라는 4가지 요소가 유기적으로 연결되어 충돌하며 함께 작동하는 개념이다.
다시 말하면 개인은 각자의 팔자(八字)를 가지고 태어나지만, 특정 시점이 되면 시대정신이라고 하는 시대운(時代運)이 강하게 작동하면서 사람들을 개인의 의도와는 무관하게 같은 전장(戰場)으로 끌어들인다. 이게 바로 시절운(時節運)이라 할 수 있다.
이때의 특징은 ‘이유 없는 사회갈등의 폭증 또는 돈·권력·명예를 둘러싼 급격한 사회패턴의 재편, 지도자의 교체기, 인간관계의 대규모 붕괴’와 같은 사회의 재구성이 나타난다. 이렇게 해서 ‘사람이 싸우는 게 아니라, 시절운(時節運)이 사람을 밀어붙이는 전쟁이 시작되는데’ 이게 바로 운명전쟁이다. 한마디로 운명전쟁은 시대가 만드는 집단적인 충돌의 국면이라 할 수 있다.
