【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=영진전문대학교가 ‘2026년 한국에서 가장 존경받는 기업’ 조사에서 전문대학 부문 1위를 차지하며 15년째 정상을 지켰다.
10일 서울 여의도 콘래드호텔에서 열린 인증식에서 영진전문대는 한국능률협회컨설팅이 주관한 ‘한국에서 가장 존경받는 기업’ 전문대학 부문 1위 인증패를 받았다. 해당 조사가 시작된 이후 전문대학 부문에서 15년 연속 1위를 차지한 곳은 영진전문대가 유일하다.
취업 성과도 눈에 띈다. 교육부 고등교육 취업통계(2024년 졸업자 기준)에 따르면, 영진전문대는 해외취업 실적에서 전국 전문대학 가운데 1위를 기록했다. 최근 10여 년간(2016~2026년) 해외에 취업한 누적 인원이 1,043명에 달해 전국 대학 중 가장 많은 수치다.
취업률도 높은 수준을 유지하고 있다. 2017년부터 2026년까지 영진전문대의 평균 취업률은 78.1%로, 대규모 졸업자를 배출하는 대학 중에서도 돋보인다. 최근 10년간 삼성, LG, SK 등 국내 주요 대기업 그룹사에 진출한 영진전문대 졸업생은 3,788명으로 집계됐다.
이러한 성과의 배경에는 디지털 신기술을 중심으로 한 교육 혁신과, 대한민국 최초로 도입한 기업 맞춤형 주문식교육 모델을 통한 산학협력 체계가 있다는 평가다. 대학 측은 지역 초·중·고등학생 대상 진로체험, 연탄·김장 나눔 등 지역사회 공헌 활동에도 꾸준히 힘을 쏟고 있다고 전했다.
최재영 영진전문대 총장은 “기업과 기관의 수요를 반영한 주문식교육을 더 확대해 글로벌 전문 인재 양성에 집중하겠다”며 “직업교육 본연의 가치를 지키면서 전문대학 교육의 품격을 높여가겠다”고 말했다.
