【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군사회복지협의회(회장 손광영)는 ㈜원진(회장 박광호), 진천군디딤돌봉사회(회장 김학성)와 함께 설 명절을 맞아 북한이탈주민을 위한 나눔 행사를 진천디딤돌봉사회 사무실에서 개최했다고 13일 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 ㈜원진의 후원으로 마련됐으며, 후원 물품(150만 원 상당)을 북한이탈주민 민정옥 회장에게 전달했다.
이날 행사에는 진천군사회복지협의회와 진천군디딤돌봉사회 소속 봉사자 20여 명이 참여했다.
양 기관은 봄·가을 농작물 나눔과 겨울 김장 나눔 등 연중 다양한 활동을 통해 북한이탈주민의 정서적·심리적·경제적 안정을 돕고 있으며, 지역사회 조기 정착을 위한 지속적인 지원을 이어오고 있다.
민정옥 회장은 “진천군으로 이주한 이후 많은 도움을 받아왔고, 명절마다 잊지 않고 챙겨주시는 따뜻한 배려 덕분에 존중받고 있다는 마음을 느낀다”며 “북한이탈주민을 대표해 진심으로 감사드린다”고 말했다.
손광영 회장은 “진천군 북한이탈주민의 조기 정착과 안정적인 삶을 위해 헌신적으로 활동해 주시는 진천군디딤돌봉사회 김학성 회장과 회원들께 깊이 감사드린다”며 “앞으로도 협의회는 ‘행복한 세상, 나누는 기쁨’을 실천하며 지역사회와 함께하는 복지 실현에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편, 진천군사회복지협의회와 진천군디딤돌봉사회는 2022년부터 북한이탈주민을 대상으로 명절 사랑 나눔 행사와 사랑의 김장 나눔, 텃밭을 활용한 감자·고구마·배추·무 나눔 등을 꾸준히 추진해 왔다.
