이재명 대통령이 15일 '2026 밀라노·코르티나담페초 동계올림픽' 쇼트트랙 남자 1500m에서 은메달을 획득한 황대헌 선수에게 "대단하고 자랑스럽다"며 축하를 건넸다.
이 대통령은 설 연휴 이틀째인 이날 오후 페이스북에 '빙판 승부사의 침착한 레이스, 대한민국 쇼트트랙 은메달을 축하한다' 제하 글을 통해 이같이 적었다.
쇼트트랙 국가대표 황대헌 선수는 이날 이탈리아 밀라노 아이스스케이팅 아레나에서 열린 쇼트트랙 남자 1500m 결승에서 2분 12초 31을 기록해 2위로 결승선을 통과했다.
이 대통령은 "황대헌 선수는 2022 베이징 동계올림픽 금메달에 이어 이번 대회서도 은메달을 추가하며 세계 최정상급 기량을 다시 한 번 입증했다"며 "한국 남자 쇼트트랙 사상 처음 올림픽 3회 연속 메달 획득이란 기록도 함께 세웠다"고 했다.
또 "치열한 레이스 속에서도 끝까지 침착함을 잃지 않고 자신 페이스를 지켜낸 황대헌 선수는 진정한 '빙판 승부사' 면모를 보여줬고, 정말 대단하고 자랑스럽다"고 했다.
