이재명 대통령이 17일 병오년 설을 맞아 “국민께서 원하는 대한민국 모습을 이정표 삼아 한 걸음 한 걸음 흔들림 없이 걸어가겠다”고 밝혔다.
청와대는 이날 오전 ‘함께 해서 더욱 특별한 모두의 설날’ 제하 영상을 공개한 가운데 이 대통령은 “병오년 설 명절 아침 모든 국민을 아우르고 섬기는 모두의 대통령으로서 다짐 말씀을 드린다”며 이같이 전했다.
그러면서 “지난 한 해 국민 여러분께서 힘 모아주신 덕분에 모든 것들이 예상보다 빠르게 제자리를 찾고 있다”며 “거리·가정·일터에서 이 나라를 지켜내 주신 모든 주권자 국민 여러분께 깊이 감사드린다”고 했다.
또 “서로 다른 자리에서 다른 모습으로 살아가는 우리들이기에 세상을 바라보는 시선·생각은 얼마든지 다를 수 있다”며 “우리 아이들이 더 나은 환경에서 자라길 바라는 마음은 어디에서 어떤 모습으로 살든 다르지 않을 것”이라고 했다.
이어 “가족·이웃이 건강하길 바라는 마음도 다르지 않고, 청년·어르신이 바라는 바도 다르지 않을 것”이라며 “지난 한 해 서로를 격려하며 어려움을 이겨낸 것처럼 새해에도 사회가 따뜻한 연대·신뢰 위에서 함께 나아가길 소망한다”고 했다.
