[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 밀양시는 19일 시청 소회의실에서 여성친화도시 제2기 시민참여단 위촉식 및 역량강화교육을 개최하고 본격적인 활동의 시작을 알렸다.
이번 행사는 제2기 시민참여단의 공식 출범을 알리고, 시민참여단의 여성친화도시 정책 이해도와 역할 인식을 높여 능동적인 활동 기반을 마련하기 위해 추진됐다.
제2기 시민참여단은 시민 39명으로 구성됐으며, △돌봄 △안전 △일자리 등 분야별 분과로 나누어 활동하게 된다.
이들은 여성과 가족이 체감할 수 있는 생활 속 불편 사항을 발굴해 정책을 제안하고 다양한 정책 모니터링 활동을 수행할 예정이다.
이날 위촉식에서는 단장 및 분과장 선출과 위촉장 수여, 기념 촬영 순으로 진행됐다. 이어 도시와젠더 이미원 대표가 ‘여성친화도시의 이해와 시민참여단의 역할’을 주제로 시민참여단 역량강화교육을 실시했다.
안병구 밀양시장은 “시민의 참여가 곧 여성친화도시의 출발점”이라며 “시민참여단이 지역의 변화를 이끄는 중요한 연결고리로 활발히 활동해 주시길 기대한다”고 말했다.
한편, 밀양시는 시민과 함께 만드는 여성친화도시 조성을 위해 정책 참여 확대, 안전한 생활환경 조성, 돌봄과 일자리 지원 강화 등 다양한 사업을 지속적으로 추진해 나갈 방침이다.
