[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 창녕군은 제65회 3·1민속문화제를 오는 28일부터 3월 3일까지 4일간 영산 국가무형유산 놀이마당과 연지공원 일원에서 3·1민속문화향상회 주최·주관으로 개최한다고 밝혔다.
올해로 65회째를 맞는 이번 행사는 영산 지역의 독립만세운동 정신을 계승하고 지역 고유의 민속놀이를 보존하기 위해 1961년부터 이어져 온 유서 깊은 문화제다.
문화제 첫날인 28일 전야제에서는 제등축하 시가행진, 쥐불놀이, 3·1만세운동 재현, 낙화 불꽂놀이, 통영오광대 초청공연 등이 펼쳐질 예정이다.
둘째 날인 3월 1일은 쇠머리대기 안전기원제와 3·1독립결사대 위령제, 구계목도 시연회, 개막식, 골목줄다리기, 통일메아리악단 공연이 이어지며 이날의 주요 행사인 국가무형유산 영산쇠머리대기 공개행사가 진행된다.
셋째 날인 3월 2일에는 삼일민속 궁도대회와 함께 시무구지 놀이, 청소년 페스티벌, 마당극 등 축하공연이 준비되어 있으며 마지막 날인 3월 3일은 따오기춤 공연과 꼬마줄다리기에 이어 국가무형유산 영산줄다리기 공개행사가 펼쳐지며 축제의 대미를 장식한다.
아울러 3월 1일부터 2일까지 연지공원 일원에서는 짚공예, 자개 손거울 만들기, 전통 민속놀이 등 다양한 전통 체험 부스도 새롭게 운영될 예정이다.
영산쇠머리대기와 영산줄다리기는 군민의 화합과 단결을 도모하고 지역민의 안녕과 태평을 기원하는 대동놀이로 문화유산으로서 가치와 지위를 인정받고 있다.
특히 영산줄다리기는 유네스코 인류무형유산으로 등재되어 있다.
