충남도, 홍종완 제39대 행정부지사 취임

충남도는 2월 20일 도청 접견실에서 제39대 행정부지사로 홍종완 전 행정안전부 사회재난실장이 임명장을 받고 공식 업무에 돌입했다고 밝혔다. 

천안 출신인 홍 부지사는 북일고와 서강대학교를 졸업한 뒤 1998년 지방고시에 합격해 공직에 입문했다. 1998년부터 2002년까지 서천군에서 근무했으며, 이후 2002년부터 약 4년 8개월간 충남도에서 근무하며 안면도 국제꽃박람회 등 주요 도정 현안을 담당했다.

이후 행정안전부에서 사회재난대응정책과장, 민방위심의관, 사회재난실장 등 요직을 거치며 국가 재난 및 안전 정책 수립과 대응 체계 강화에 핵심 역할을 수행해 왔다.

홍 부지사는 취임 당일 태안국제원예치유박람회 현장을 방문해 준비 상황을 점검했으며, 오는 23일부터는 도청 각 사무실을 돌며 직원들과 인사를 나누는 일정으로 별도의 취임식 없이 업무를 이어갈 예정이다.
