국립부경대 학위수여식 "공동체와 함께 성장하는 삶"...3,077명에 학위 수여

[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 국립부경대학교는 20일 오전 대학본부 2층 대회의실에서 2026년 2월 학위수여식을 열고 박사 145명, 석사 429명, 학사 2,503명 등 총 3,077명에게 학위를 수여했다.

이날 행사에는 배상훈 총장, 박세호 총동창회장, 강정호 해군교육사령관, 졸업생과 학부모 등이 참석했다.

성적 우수자로는 식품과학부 주한솔 학생이 총장상을, 국어국문학과 박규현 학생이 총동창회장상을, 해양생산시스템관리학부 김민기 학생이 해군교육사령관상을 각각 받았다.

배상훈 총장은 “자랑스러운 부경인으로서 개인의 성공을 넘어 공동체와 함께 성장하는 삶을 살길 바란다”며 “공부는 삶을 채우는 가장 중요한 도구이며, 배움을 멈추지 않길 바란다”고 당부했다.

박세호 총동창회장은 “부경인으로서 자부심을 가지고 모교를 빛내는 동문이 되길 바란다”며 “총동창회와 22만 동문이 함께하겠다”고 밝혔다.

축사에 나선 푸드트래블 박상화 대표는 “무엇을 선택해야 할지 막막할 때 ‘나는 무엇을 할 때 가슴이 뛰는가’를 스스로에게 물었다”며 “실패해도 스스로 일어서면 된다. 인생은 자신이 선택하는 순간부터 시작된다”고 전했다.

Pukyong National University (PKNU) held its February 2026 commencement ceremony Friday at the university headquarters, conferring degrees to 3,077 graduates, including 145 doctorates, 429 master’s, and 2,503 bachelor’s degrees.

University President Bae Sang-hoon, PKNU Alumni Association President Park Se-ho, Navy Education and Training Command Chief Kang Jeong-ho, graduates, and families attended the ceremony.

Among the award recipients, Joo Han-sol (Department of Food Science) received the President’s Award, Park Kyu-hyun (Korean Language and Literature) earned the Alumni Association President’s Award, and Kim Min-ki (Marine Production System Management) received the Navy Education Commander's Award.

Bae urged graduates to pursue growth through connection and dialogue, saying they should “live a life that benefits others and the community, not just personal success.” He also encouraged lifelong learning, calling study “the most important tool to fill and enrich our imperfect lives.”

In his congratulatory remarks, Alumni Association President Park encouraged graduates to take pride in being PKNU alumni and to “shine as proud representatives of our alma mater.”

Guest speaker Park Sang-hwa, CEO of Food Travel and a PKNU alumnus, shared his entrepreneurial story, emphasizing self-determination. “Ask yourself what makes your heart race,” he said. “You may fail, but rise again. Your life truly begins the moment you make your own choice.”
