MBC 의뢰로 코리아리서치인터내셔널이 지난 11일부터 13일까지 서울 거주 만 18세 이상 남녀 801명을 대상으로 실시한 조사에 따르면 정원오 성동구청장이 40%, 오세훈 서울 시장이 36%를 기록하며, 오차범위네 역전했다.

최근 오세훈 시장이 여권 내부 인사, 특히 장동혁 대표를 향해 날 선 비판을 쏟아낸 일도 당내 지지층을 자극했다. “선거에 이기면 내 덕, 지지율이 떨어지면 당 탓”이라는 식의 인식이 확산되면서 일부 지지자들 사이에서는 ‘회색분자’, ‘배신자 프레임’까지 거론된다. 선거는 혼자 치르는 것이 아니다. 정당 정치의 토대 위에서 승리의 과실도, 패배의 책임도 함께 나누는 법이다. 내부를 향한 공격은 순간의 박수를 받을 수 있을지 몰라도, 장기적으로는 신뢰를 갉아먹는다.
