이재명 대통령이 24일 "(밀라노 동계올림픽이) 선수들 투지·활약에도 과거 국제 대회에 비교하면 사회적 열기가 충분히 고조되지 못했던 아쉬움이 있다"며 "국제 행사에 대한 국민 접근성을 폭넓게 보장하는 제도 개선이 필요하다"고 밝혔다.
이 대통령은 이날 오전 청와대에서 열린 제6회 국무회의 모두 발언에서 "오는 6월 북중미 월드컵도 예정돼 있다"며 이같이 말했다. JTBC의 '2026 밀라노·코르티나담페초 동계 올림픽' 국내 독점 중계 문제점을 짚은 것이다.
