포천시는 이번 전시 현장에서 △경기국방벤처센터 개소 △대한민국 드론공방전 개최 △대드론 시험장 지정 등 그간의 굵직한 성과들을 중점적으로 알린다. 특히 오는 27일 본격적인 운영에 들어가는 경기국방벤처센터의 핵심 역할을 소개하며, 국방 분야 연구개발(R&D)부터 실증, 시험 및 인증, 최종 사업화로 이어지는 '전(全)주기 원스톱 지원 체계'를 집중적으로 홍보할 예정이다.
이와 함께 드론교육훈련센터 구축 청사진과 대드론 시험장 지정에 따른 민군 과학기술 테스트 및 평가 인프라를 제시해 포천만의 독보적인 산업 경쟁력을 강조한다.
아울러 포천시는 행사 기간 중 서울대학교 지능형무인이동체 연구센터와 전략적 업무협약(MOU)을 체결하는 성과도 거둔다. 양 기관은 향후 드론 산업 기획 및 운영, 핵심 기술 개발, 인프라 구축, 전문인력 양성을 위한 교육사업 발굴 등 다방면에서 긴밀한 협력을 이어갈 방침이다.
