대구 동구, ‘청년성장프로젝트’ 공모사업 최종 선정

【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 동구가 고용노동부가 주관하는 ‘2026년 청년성장프로젝트’ 공모사업에 최종 선정됐다. 

이에 따라 동구는 구직을 포기하려는 청년부터 입사 초기 적응이 필요한 청년까지, 한 번에 아우르는 맞춤형 지원에 나선다.

24일 동구에 따르면 이번 사업은 만 15세부터 34세까지의 미취업 청년과 입사 후 적응이 필요한 청년을 대상으로 한다.

1대1 맞춤 상담, 진로 탐색, 취업 역량 강화 교육, 입사 후 사후 관리까지 단계별로 이어지는 지원이 사업의 핵심이다. 구직 과정에서 이탈 위험이 높은 청년을 조기에 찾아내 노동시장 진입과 정착까지 돕는 것이 목표다.

사업은 지역 특성을 살린 ‘4트랙’ 체계로 운영된다. 의료산업단지, 스타트업, 고용친화기업 등 맞춤형 트랙과 함께, 공공기관 연계 트랙, 지역 대학 연계 트랙, 그리고 청년들이 직접 설계하는 자율 프로그램 트랙으로 세분화해, 참여 청년의 진로와 역량에 맞춘 지원을 제공할 방침이다.

지원 내용은 심리 및 진로 진단을 통한 구직 의지 회복 프로그램, 직무 기초 및 실무 중심 교육, 기업 매칭과 인턴십, 현장실습, 그리고 입사 후 3~6개월간의 멘토링과 적응 상담으로 이어진다. 동구는 단기 취업 성과뿐만 아니라 초기 이직률을 낮추는 데 집중하겠다는 입장이다.

윤석준 동구청장은 “청년성장프로젝트는 취업을 하나의 ‘과정’으로 보고 처음부터 끝까지 함께하는 지원”이라며 “지역 산업과 연계된 맞춤형 프로그램으로 청년들이 동구에 안정적으로 정착하고 성장할 수 있도록 하겠다”고 전했다.

The support program includes a program to restore job-seeking motivation through psychological and career assessments, basic and practical job training, company matching, internships, field training, and mentoring and adjustment counseling for three to six months after joining the company. Dong-gu District aims to focus not only on short-term employment outcomes but also on reducing the initial turnover rate.

Dong-gu Mayor Yoon Seok-joon stated, "The Youth Growth Project views employment as a 'process,' providing support from beginning to end. We will utilize customized programs linked to local industries to ensure that young people can settle and grow steadily in Dong-gu."
