(브레이크뉴인천 박상도 기자) 부평구가 24일 부평5동 행정복지센터 신청사 개청식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
부평구에 따르면, 부평5동은 지난 2023년 4월 임시청사로 이전한 이후 약 2년 8개월 만에 신청사를 개청하며 새로운 출발을 알렸다.
이날 개청식에는 차준택 부평구청장을 비롯해 안애경 부평구의회 의장, 지역 인사 및 주민 등 100여 명이 참석해 신청사 개청을 함께 축하했다.
행사는 부평5동의 발전을 기원하는 동수재이풍물단(동 풍물단)의 식전 축하공연으로 시작됐다.
이어 청사 건립 경과보고, 공사 관계자에 대한 감사패 전달, 현판 제막식 순으로 진행되며 성황리에 마무리됐다.
지난해 12월 29일부터 업무를 시작한 신청사는 기존 행정업무 공간과 주민을 위한 문화·여가 공간을 함께 갖춘 복합생활공간으로 조성됐다.
이에 따라 앞으로 지역 주민들의 소통 공간이자 민원 사랑방 역할을 할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
