국가보훈부 경기북부제대군인지원센터가 25일 센터 내 교육장에서 「2026년도 제대군인 멘토 위촉식」을 개최하고, 후배 제대군인들의 성공적인 사회복귀를 위한 본격적인 멘토링 활동에 돌입했다.
이번 위촉식은 2026년도 제대군인 전직지원사업 운영계획의 일환으로 마련됐다.
취업과 창업에 성공한 선배 제대군인들이 자신의 경험과 노하우를 후배들에게 직접 전수함으로써 전직 과정에서의 시행착오를 최소화하고 인적 네트워크를 강화하는 데 주안점을 뒀다.

멘토단은 공정한 선발 절차를 통해 구성됐다.
모집 분야는 군 관련 직위, 공공기관, 교육훈련, 자격증 취득, 창업 등으로 다양화했으며, 전문성과 지역별 활동 가능성 등을 종합적으로 고려해 최종 선발이 이뤄졌다.
활동 기간은 올해 2월부터 내년 1월까지 1년간이다.
위촉된 멘토들은 단순 상담에 그치지 않고 제대군인의 진로 설계부터 실질적인 취·창업 성공까지 폭넓게 지원할 예정이다.
대면 활동으로는 멘토·멘티 만남의 날, 취·창업 워크숍, 힐링교육 특강 등이 운영되며, 온·오프라인 1대1 상담과 전문 기고문 작성 등 상시 지원도 병행된다.
또한 간담회 참석을 통해 전직지원 사업에 대한 현장 피드백을 정책에 반영하는 역할도 맡게 된다.
이영환 센터장은 "성공적으로 사회에 정착한 선배 제대군인의 생생한 경험은 후배들에게 가장 현실적이고 강력한 길잡이가 된다"며 "앞으로도 체계적인 멘토링 시스템을 운영해 제대군인들이 안정적으로 자립할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.
한편 경기북부제대군인지원센터는 의정부를 거점으로 경기 북부 지역 제대군인들의 전직 및 사회복귀를 전방위로 지원하고 있다.

Meanwhile, the Gyeonggi Northern Veterans Support Center, based in Uijeongbu, provides comprehensive support for transition and social reintegration of veterans in the northern Gyeonggi region.
