대전시의회 교육위원장 이금선 의원(국민의힘, 유성구 제4선거구)이 25일 유성구 구즉동·관평동·전민동 일대 주민들을 대상으로 의정보고회를 열고, 지난 4년여간의 의정활동 성과와 지역 현안 해결 과정을 상세히 보고했다.
이날 이금선 의원의 의정보고회에는 조원휘 대전시의회 의장, 김근종 국민의힘 유성을 당협 직무대행, 유성구의회 이명숙 운영위원장, 양명환 의원 등 지역 정치인과 보육·유치원·학원 연합회장, 지역아동센터 관계자, 생활체육 동호인 등 다수가 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.
이금선 의원은 충남대학교 교육대학원 교육학 석사 출신으로, 유성구의회 7·8대 의원 및 의장을 지낸 뒤 대전시의회로 진출해 교육위원장을 맡고 있으며, 대전시 가정어린이집 보육정책 자문위원 등으로 활동 중이다.
축사에서 조원희 의장은 “지난 1년간 대전시의회 조례 제·개정 156건 중 두 번째로 많은 12건을 발의한 이금선 위원장”이라며, 보육·유치원 단체로부터 감사패를 다수 받은 점을 강조했다.
김근종 위원장은 “이금선 의원은 조용하지만 공무원에게는 날카로운 질문을 던지며 지역 현안을 양보하지 않는 의원”이라 평가하며, 이 의원의 지역 발전 기여를 기원했다.
이금선 의원은 “선거 때만 열심히 하는 의원이 아니라, 공약을 지키는 것이 철칙”이라며 한국매니페스토실천본부의 지방의원 매니페스토 약속대상에서 2015년 수상, 2021년 최우수상, 최근 공약이행 최우수상(2026 제17회) 등 다수의 수상 경력을 공개했다.
4년간 총 38건의 조례 제·개정을 통해 다자녀 지원 확대(둘째 자녀부터 예산 지원), 어린이집·유치원 돌봄·급식 개선, 북대전 악취 관리 시스템 구축 등을 추진했으며, 행정사무감사 우수위원으로도 선정됐다.
이 의원은 “조례에 ‘할 수 있다’가 아닌 ‘하여야 한다’를 넣어 법적 강제력을 부여해야 공무원이 움직인다”고 입법 철학을 밝혔다.

이 의원은 의정보고에서 지역 현안 해결 성과를 5가지 분야로 나누어 설명했다.
먼저 인프라 사업으로는 북대전 환경시설 주변 구즉문화센터(244억 원 규모, 4월 개소 예정), 대전 동부초·중 통합학교(대전 최초, 도서구입비 2천5백만 원 추가), 대덕연구단지 동측 진입로(2026년 160억 원), 청벽산~엑스포아파트 4차선 도로(2027년 준공) 등을 꼽았다.
이어 금고동 하수처리장 현대화(2028년 준공, 바이오첨단산업단지 유치), 둔곡 머크사 투자(7월 완공, 300명 고용), 바이오창업원(2027년 마무리), 공공형 친환경 골프장(2030년 준공) 등 대형 사업도 지역 발전 동력으로 강조했다.
교육 분야에서는 전민동 133억8천만 원, 구즉동 155억8천만 원, 안평동 298억3천만 원 규모의 학교 냉난방·화장실 개선 예산을 확보했으며, 용산2초등학교 설립(2027년 3월 개교)과 둔곡 유초중 통학구역 조정을 통해 과밀·통학 문제를 해결했다고 보고했다.
교통·환경 민원 해결로는 첨단 희망버스·101번·급행 2번 노선 추가 정차, 관평동 12단지 등 버스승강장·BIT 설치, 북대전 악취관리 시스템(특교세 4억 원), 갑천변 수세식 화장실 전환, 노후 하수관로 정비 등을 제시했다.
최근 관평동 맨발걷기길(2억5천만 원), 송강동 공영주차장 환경개선, 현대아웃렛 다리 조명 설치 등 생활 SOC 사업도 언급하며 “작은 민원도 끝까지 챙긴다”고 말했다.
이금선 의원은 “수첩이 빽빽할 만큼 민원이 많아 가끔 놓칠 수 있으니 다시 연락해 달라”며 “주민 참여가 지역 발전의 시작”이라고 당부했다.
