이동환 고양특례시장이 주민과의 접점에 있는 통장들을 직접 만나 현장의 목소리를 시정에 반영하기 위한 소통 행보에 나섰다.
고양시는 지난 25일 이동환 시장이 마두2동, 주엽2동, 장항2동 등 1기 일산신도시 중심지역 3개 동의 통장협의회 회의를 잇달아 방문해 지역 현안을 논의하고 소통의 시간을 가졌다고 밝혔다.
이번 방문은 설 명절 전부터 시작된 ‘민생현장 소통’의 일환으로 마련됐다.

이 시장은 오는 3월까지 관내 동 행정복지센터와 통장회의를 순회하며, 최일선에서 근무하는 직원들을 격려하고 주민 생활과 밀접한 현장의 의견을 직접 수렴할 계획이다.
이날 회의에서 이동환 시장은 지난 설 연휴 기간 동안 지역 치안 유지와 소외계층 돌봄에 힘쓴 통장들의 노고에 깊은 감사를 표했다.
