파주시가 영유아부터 청년까지 생애주기별 맞춤 서비스를 한 곳에서 제공하는 '세대통합 복합지원센터' 건립에 본격 돌입했다.
파주시는 지난 25일 금촌동 1025번지(국민건강보험공단 파주지사 옆) 부지에서 김경일 파주시장, 박정 국회의원, 박대성 파주시의회 의장 등 주요 내빈과 지역 주민 200여 명이 참석한 가운데 착공식을 개최했다.

이번 센터는 총사업비 372억 8,500만 원이 투입되는 대규모 프로젝트로, 연면적 7,726.57㎡, 지하 1층~지상 4층 규모로 조성된다.
2027년 10월 준공을 목표로 공사가 진행된다.
센터 내부에는 시민 삶의 질 향상을 위한 6개 주요 시설이 들어선다.
보육·아동 분야에서는 파주시육아종합지원센터와 어린이·사회복지급식관리지원센터가 입주하며, 청소년·청년 분야에서는 청소년문화의집, 학교밖청소년지원센터, 청년지원센터가 자리를 잡는다.
지역 커뮤니티 공간으로는 금촌2동주민자치센터가 함께 운영될 예정이다.
이번 센터 건립에서 특히 주목받는 시설은 파주시육아종합지원센터다.
