【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군은 26일 음성명작관에서 2026년도 마을만들기사업 신규지구 선정을 위한 주민설명회를 개최했다.
이번 설명회에는 사업 참여를 희망하는 각 마을 이장 및 주민 100여 명이 참석한 가운데 사업 추진 방향, 신청 절차, 사업계획서 작성 방법 및 평가 기준 등에 대한 안내가 이뤄졌다.
또한 타 시·군 우수사례를 공유하고 질의응답을 진행해 마을만들기사업에 대한 이해를 높이고 주민 주도의 사업 추진 기반을 다지는 시간을 가졌다.
마을만들기사업은 3년간 마을당 5억 원을 지원해 기초생활 기반 확충, 마을 경관 개선, 주민 역량강화 사업 등을 추진함으로써 공동체 활성화와 정주 여건 개선을 도모하는 사업이다.
주민이 직접 계획을 수립하고 실행하는 주민 주도형 방식으로 운영돼 마을의 자립 역량을 강화하는 데 목적이 있다.
특히 올해부터는 수요가 많은 자율개발사업(5억원)을 당초 3개소에서 2개소 확대해 총 5개소를 선정·지원하는 방향으로 개편함으로써, 보다 많은 마을에 실질적인 혜택과 참여 기회를 제공할 수 있는 기반이 마련됐다.
군은 5월 말까지 사업계획서를 접수해 서류심사, 현장실사, 대면심사 등의 절차를 거쳐 8월 말 최종 대상 마을을 선정할 계획이다.
이의식 농촌활력과장은 “주민 여러분의 적극적인 참여가 성공적인 마을만들기의 출발점”이라며 “앞으로도 더 많은 마을이 혜택을 받을 수 있도록 지원을 확대하고, 주민과 함께 지속 가능한 농촌마을 조성에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
