이재명 대통령이 26일 "통상적 주거는 적극 보호하되 주택을 이용한 투자·투기는 철저히 봉쇄되도록 설계할 것"이라고 밝혔다.
이 대통령은 이날 엑스(X·구 트위터)에 "정책 수단을 총동원해 다주택자는 물론 주거용 아닌 투자·투기용 1주택자도 보유보다 매각이 유리한 상황을 만들 것"이라며 이같이 적었다.
그러면서 "각종 규제·부담은 실주거용 1주택을 기본으로 주거 여부·주택 수·가격 수준 등에 따라 세밀하게 가중치를 주겠다"며 "초고가 주택은 선진국 수도 수준에 상응하는 부담·규제를 안게 될 것"이라고 예고했다.
또 다주택 양도세 중과 유예(5월 9일 종료) 관련해선 "정부 권위는 신뢰·일관성에서 나오고, 권위 잃은 정부는 뒤뚱거리는 오리를 넘어 식물이 된다"며 "정부 정책 권위·신뢰를 위해 5월 9일 이전 매각한 다주택자보다 버틴 다주택자가 유리하도록 방치할 수 없다"고 했다.
이어 "정부는 강력한 금융·세제·규제를 통해 매각하는 게 이익, 버틴 게 더 손해인 상황을 만들 것"이라며 "버티는 건 자유이나 이 점은 알아두는 게 좋을 것"이라고 했다.
더불어 "잠긴 매물은 질식할 것이며 버티는 일은 더 큰 부담이 될 것"이라며 "정부 정책에 역행하고 규칙을 어긴 이가 이익을 얻지 못하도록 하는 게 대한민국 정상화 핵심"이라고 덧붙였다.
