이재명 대통령이 3월 1~4일 싱가포르·필리핀을 국빈 방문한다고 청와대가 27일 전했다..
강유정 대변인은 이날 오전 서면 브리핑을 통해 이같은 이 대통령 동남아 2개국 순방 사안을 전했다.
강 대변인은 "이번 순방 계기로 강화된 이재명 대통령과 싱가포르·필리핀 정상 간 유대·신뢰를 토대로 향후 상호 관심 분야에서 전략적 협력을 촉진해 양 국민이 체감할 성과를 도출하면서 국제 무대 협력을 강화해 나갈 수 있을 것으로 기대된다"고 전했다.
그러면서 "올해 아세안 의장국 필리핀과 내년 의장국 싱가포르에 대한 양자 방문은 지난해 한·아세안 정상회의에서 천명한 CSP 비전을 구체화하고 본격 이행하는 데 기여하는 중요 계기가 될 것"이라고 덧붙였다.
먼저 이 대통령은 오는 3월 1일부터 3일까지 싱가포르에서 로렌스 웡 총리와 정상회담·친교 오찬, 타르만 샨무가라트남 대통령과 면담·국빈 만찬 등 일정을 소화 후 양국이 공동 개최하는 'AI(인공지능) 커넥트 서밋'에 참석한다.
한·싱가폴 양국은 지난해 수교 50주년을 맞아 전략적 동반자 관계를 수립한 바 있는 가운데 이번에 통상·투자·인프라 등 기존 협력을 한층 공고히 하면서 AI·원전 등 협력 외연 확장에 나선다.
이 대통령은 또 오는 3월 3일부터 4일까지 필리핀 마닐라를 방문해 페르디난드 로무알데즈 마르코스 주니어 대통령과 정상회담·국빈만찬·비즈니스 포럼 참석 등 일정을 소화한다.
