평생을 교단에서 제자 사랑과 교육 발전에 헌신해 온 대전 지역 교원 80명이 명예로운 퇴임을 맞이했다.
대전광역시교육청은 27일 시교육청 대강당에서 퇴직교원과 가족들이 참석한 가운데 ‘2026년 2월말 퇴직교원 정부포상 전수식’을 거행했다.
이번 전수식은 오랜 세월 투철한 사명감으로 대전 교육의 기틀을 다지고 국가 교육 발전에 이바지한 교원들의 노고를 기리기 위해 마련됐다.
포상 규모는 훈격별로 ▲황조근정훈장 7명 ▲홍조근정훈장 29명 ▲녹조근정훈장 19명 ▲옥조근정훈장 7명 ▲근정포장 10명 ▲대통령표창 3명 ▲교육부장관 표창 5명 등 총 80명이다.
퇴직교원을 대표해 소감을 전한 박미혜 대전문지중학교 교장은 정든 교정을 떠나는 소회와 함께 "그동안 대전 교육의 길을 함께 걸어온 동료들과 믿고 따라준 제자들에게 깊은 감사를 드린다"며 소회를 밝혔다.
설동호 대전광역시교육감은 축사를 통해 퇴임하는 교원들에게 존경과 감사의 인사를 전했다.
설 교육감은 “교육에 대한 뜨거운 열정과 헌신으로 대전의 인재들을 길러내신 선생님들의 노고에 경의를 표한다”며 “교단을 떠나시더라도 대전교육의 든든한 버팀목으로서 앞날에 행복이 가득하시길 대전교육가족 모두가 응원하겠다”고 말했다.
