대한독립만세 함성이 다시 천안 아우내장터를 뒤덮으며 ‘2026 아우내봉화제’가 성황리에 막을 내렸다.
3·1운동 제107주년을 맞아 28일 충남 천안시 병천면 아우내장터 일원에서 열린 이번 행사는 1919년 아우내 만세운동 당시의 뜨거운 현장을 시민 참여로 되살리며, 순국선열의 희생과 독립정신을 기리는 자리로 진행됐다.

올해 봉화제는 천안시와 천안청년회의소가 주최해 병천면 유관순 열사 사적지와 아우내장터 일대에서 펼쳐졌으며, 저녁 시간대 본 행사에 앞서 대형 태극기 만들기, 민속놀이 체험 등 다양한 프로그램이 마련돼 가족 단위 방문객들의 호응을 얻었다.

본 행사에서는 유관순 열사와 순국선열을 추모하는 공식식과 기미독립선언서 낭독, 3·1절 노래 합창 등이 이어졌고, 시민들은 만세삼창과 함께 봉화 및 횃불 행진에 동참하며 107년 전 자주독립을 향해 하나로 모였던 마음을 함께 되새겼다.

Cheonan City Holds 'Aunae Bonfire Festival' to Mark 107th Anniversary of the March 1st Movement
The 2026 Aunae Bonfire Festival successfully concluded, with cheers of "Manse, Korean Independence" once again engulfing the Aunae Marketplace in Cheonan.
The event, held on the 28th at the Aunae Marketplace in Byeongcheon-myeon, Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province, commemorated the 107th anniversary of the March 1st Movement. Citizen participation brought back the passionate moments of the 1919 Aunae Independence Movement and honored the sacrifices of patriotic martyrs and the spirit of independence.
This year's Bonfire Festival, hosted by Cheonan City and the Cheonan Junior Chamber, took place at the Yu Gwan-sun Historical Site in Byeongcheon-myeon and the Aunae Marketplace. Prior to the main event in the evening, various programs, including making a large Taegeukgi and experiencing traditional Korean games, were offered, attracting a large crowd of families.
The event included an official ceremony to commemorate martyr Yu Gwan-sun and other fallen patriots, a reading of the Gimi Independence Declaration, and a chorus singing of the March 1st Independence Movement Day song. Citizens also participated in a bonfire and torchlight march along with three cheers, reminiscing about the spirit of unity that united them 107 years ago toward independence.
