대전시교육감 선거 출마를 밝힌 김영진 전 대전연구원장(대전대 법대 교수)이 28일 오후 대전대학교 혜화문화관 블랙박스홀에서 자신의 저서 '행복한 학교 미래를 여는 교육, 김영진과 끝까지!' 출판기념회를 열었다.
이번 행사는 단순한 출판 행사를 넘어 대전교육의 비전과 방향을 함께 고민하는 자리가 됐다.
현장에는 정치권, 교육계, 종교계 인사들이 폭넓게 참석했다. 이장우 대전시장과 조원휘 대전시의회 의장, 서철모 서구청장, 국민의힘 박경호 대덕구당협위원장, 이명수 전 국회의원 등 주요 인사들이 직접 참석해 축하 인사를 전했다.

또한 오석진·정상신 예비후보 등 교육감 선거 경쟁자들도 자리를 함께했으며, 윤상현(국민의힘·인천 동구미추홀구을)·장종태(더불어민주당·대전 서구갑) 국회의원은 영상으로 응원을 보냈다.
이장우 시장은 축사에서 “김 전 원장은 윤리적 가치관이 분명하고 대전에 대한 철학이 뚜렷한 분”이라며 “대전의 발전을 위해 교육이 바로 서야 한다”고 강조했다. 그는 “대전교육이 제대로 평가받을 때 대전이 초일류도시로 나아갈 수 있다”며 응원을 전했다.
