이재명 대통령이 1일 제107주년 3·1절을 맞아 "적대·대결은 서로에게 아무런 이익이 되지 않는다는 확고한 역사 가르침을 외면하지 말자"고 밝혔다.
이 대통령은 이날 오전 서울 강남구 코엑스에서 열린 제107주년 3·1절 기념식 기념사에서 "함께 성장하는 평화로운 한반도를 만드는 것이야말로 3·1혁명 정신을 온전히 계승하는 길"이라며 이같이 말했다.
그러면서 "반세기를 훌쩍 넘기도록 이어온 대립·갈등 시대를 끝내고 평화·공존공영 한반도를 향해 나아가자"며 "정부는 북측 체제를 존중하며 일체 적대행위, 어떤 흡수 통일 추구도 하지 않을 것"이라고 했다.
또 "한반도 평화·남북 간 신뢰 회복을 위해 필요한 일들을 일관되게 추진해 나가겠다"며 "뜻하지 않게 일어난 작년 무인기 침투 사건은 한반도 평화를 위협하는 심대한 사안으로 다신 이런 일이 일어나지 않도록 철저히 진상을 규명하고 제도적 방지 장치를 마련해 나가겠다"고 했다.
이어 "북측과의 대화 재개 노력도 계속해 나가겠다"며 "페이스메이커로서 북·미 간 대화가 조속 재개될 수 있도록 미국·주변국과 소통하겠다"고 밝혔다.
더불어 "남북간 실질 긴장 완화·유관국 협력을 통해 정전체제를 평화체제로 전환해 나갈 수 있도록 모든 노력을 다하겠다"며 "북측도 새 5개년 계획을 수립·시행해 나가는 만큼 조속히 대화의 장으로 나와 새 미래를 함께 그려나가길 희망한다"고 했다.
이 대통령은 "세계 평화를 염원했던 선열들 만세 함성이 평화·공동번영의 한반도를 향한 남북 공동 다짐으로 다시 울려 퍼지길 소망한다"고 했다.
또 "엄혹한 국제 정세를 마주하고 있는 지금이야말로 한· 일 양국이 현실에 대응하고 미래를 함께 열어나가야 할 때"라며 "실용외교를 통해 과거를 직시하며 현재 과제를 함께 풀고 미래를 향해 함께 나아갈 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.

이 대통령은 “효창공원 일대를 ‘국립효창독립공원’으로 지정하고 상하이 임시정부 청사의 폭넓은 활용 방안을 마련해 선열들 독립 정신을 대대로 기리겠다”며 "백범 김구 선생 탄생 150주년을 맞은 올해 온 국민이 함께 참여하는 기념사업으로 그 숭고한 뜻을 이어나가겠다”고 덧붙였다.
