국가유산청이 방탄소년단(BTS) 광화문 공연을 앞두고 경복궁 등 주요 궁궐과 국가유산, 관람객 안전을 위한 종합 대책 마련에 나섰다.
앞서 국가유산청은 지난 2월 25일 서울 종로구 국립고궁박물관 고궁회의실 별관에서 회의를 열고, 오는 3월 21일 경복궁·광화문 일원에서 예정된 BTS 공연과 최근 4대 궁 및 종묘, 국립고궁박물관 관람객 증가에 대응하기 위한 안전관리 방안을 집중 점검했다.
회의에는 궁능유적본부와 경복궁·창덕궁·덕수궁·창경궁, 종묘의 각 소장과 방호실장, 국립고궁박물관장 등이 참석해 대규모 문화행사 시 문화유산과 관람객 보호를 위한 현장 대응 체계를 논의했다.
국가유산청은 대한민국을 대표하는 상징 공간인 광화문광장에서 열리는 BTS 공연이 ‘K-헤리티지’를 세계에 알리는 계기가 될 것으로 기대하면서도, 대규모 인파와 국가유산 보호를 모두 고려한 단계별 안전계획을 구체화했다.

안전관리 인력을 추가 배치해 비상 상황에 즉각 대응할 수 있는 체계를 유지하는 한편, 공연 종료 후에는 관련 구조물을 신속히 철거·정리해 다음 날부터 정상 관람이 가능하도록 원상 복구를 진행한다.
