[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시는 3일 오후 사하소방서 들락날락에서 ‘2차 해피챌린지 소방특화 들락날락 준공식’을 열고, 산업 중심이던 신평·장림 생활권을 사람 중심의 생활공간으로 전환하는 사업의 성과를 공개했다.
이날 행사에는 박형준 부산시장과 이갑준 사하구청장, 지역 주민 등 100여 명이 참석했으며, 시설 관람을 시작으로 해피챌린지 추진 경과 보고, 인사말, 소방특화 들락날락 소개, 주민 소감 발표, 기념촬영 순으로 진행됐다.
‘해피챌린지’는 시민 간 교류와 소통을 확대하고 사람 중심의 길, 공원, 생활공간을 만들어가는 부산시의 대표 프로젝트로, ‘15분 도시 부산’을 실현하기 위한 핵심 정책이다. 시는 1차 사업지인 당감·개금 생활권에 이어 괘법·감전, 신평·장림 생활권으로 사업을 확대하고 있다.

이번에 문을 연 ‘소방특화 들락날락’은 신평·장림권 해피챌린지의 핵심 거점으로, 노후 소방훈련탑과 활용도가 낮았던 사하소방서 1층 체험관을 리모델링해 조성됐다. 1층은 소방 관련 도서관과 디지털 콘텐츠를 갖춘 열린 공간으로, 2층은 소방관과 함께하는 심폐소생술(CPR) 교육장, 3층은 소화기·소방차 체험관, 4층은 화재 탈출 체험장으로 구성됐다.
외벽은 부산시 소통 캐릭터 ‘부기’ 소방관 디자인을 적용해 밝고 친근한 분위기를 더했고, 이러한 디자인 우수성으로 2025 글로벌 디자인 잇 어워드에서 금상을 수상했다.
박형준 시장은 “2차 해피챌린지를 통해 신평·장림 생활권이 산업 중심에서 사람 중심의 생활공간으로 변화하고 있다”며 “아이들이 안전을 배우고 주민이 함께 머무는 공간으로 자리 잡기를 기대한다”고 말했다.

The city of Busan held an opening ceremony for the “2nd Happy Challenge Firefighting-Themed Deullak-Nallak” at the Saha Fire Station on March 3, marking a key step in transforming the Sinpyeong–Jangnim district from an industrial zone into a people-centered living space.
Mayor Park Hyung-jun, Saha District Chief Lee Gap-jun, and about 100 residents attended the event, which featured a facility tour, progress briefing, opening remarks, introduction of the new complex, resident testimonials, and a commemorative photo session.
The “Happy Challenge” project is one of Busan’s flagship initiatives designed to create pedestrian-friendly streets, parks, and community spaces under the city’s “15-Minute City” vision. Following the first phase in the Danggam–Gaegeum area, Busan has expanded the program to the Gwaebeop–Gamjeon and Sinpyeong–Jangnim districts to enhance everyday urban experiences.
The newly completed Deullak-Nallak facility serves as the core hub of the Sinpyeong–Jangnim Happy Challenge zone. Aged training towers and underused facilities at the Saha Fire Station were remodeled into an interactive complex combining safety education, experience, and play. The first floor includes a firefighting-themed library and digital learning zone; the second floor offers CPR training sessions with local firefighters; the third floor hosts fire extinguisher and fire truck experiences; and the fourth floor features a fire evacuation simulation room.
Its exterior design, featuring Busan’s communication character “Bugi” as a firefighter, uses bright and friendly visuals to create an inviting atmosphere for children and residents. The design received the Gold Prize at the 2025 Global Design iT Awards.
Mayor Park said, “The second Happy Challenge is helping transform the Sinpyeong–Jangnim district from an industrial area into a people-centered community space. I hope this place becomes a hub where children can learn about safety and residents can come together.”
