오세현 시장 "혁신은 숫자가 아닌 시민의 일상 속 변화로 완성"

오세현 아산시장이 3일 시민홀 월례모임에서 행정안전부 '2025년 지방정부혁신평가' 전국 시 단위 1위 성과를 강조하며 "혁신은 숫자가 아닌 시민의 일상 속 변화로 완성된다"고 역설했다. 

그는 특정 부서의 공이 아닌 전 직원이 함께 만든 결과라며, 조직문화 개선과 디지털 행정, 현장 소통 확대의 결실이라고 평가했다.

오 시장의 발언은 아산의 '성장 예외론'을 뒷받침한다. 

배방읍 인구 10만 돌파와 신창면 아산천우물초, 배방읍 이순신초 개교를 사례로 들며 "지방소멸 위기 속에서도 출산·양육 중심 정주 구조가 뿌리내리고 있다"고 진단했다. 이어 "아이 키우기 좋은 도시, 부모 세대 정착 도시"를 목표로 행정력을 집중하라고 독려했다.

4월 '제65회 아산 성웅 이순신 축제' 실무추진단 출범도 챙겼다. "형식적 보고 아닌 문제점 공유와 개선 논의의 장으로 삼아라"며 전국 행사 집중 배치로 완성도 높은 축제를 주문했다. 

산불 초동 진화 재점검, 우기 대비 사업 신속 추진, 해빙기 건설 현장·강풍 대비 시설물 점검, 6·3 지방선거 공직자 정치중립 철저 등 실무 지시도 잇따랐다.

이날 모임에서는 초등 문해교육 우수 학습자 등 시민 23명과 '일 잘하는 공무원' 11명 등 34명이 표창받아 성과를 공유했다.

At a monthly meeting held at the Citizens' Hall on the 3rd, Asan Mayor Oh Se-hyun emphasized the city's national ranking in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's "2025 Local Government Innovation Evaluation," emphasizing, "Innovation is completed not by numbers, but by changes in citizens' daily lives."

He then urged the city to focus its administrative resources on the goal of "making this a city where children can thrive and where parents can settle."

He also oversaw the launch of the working group for the "65th Asan Admiral Yi Sun-sin Festival" in April. He urged the festival to be organized around events nationwide, saying, "Use this as a platform for sharing issues and discussing improvements, not a mere formal report."

He also issued a series of practical instructions, including a re-examination of early wildfire suppression, expedited rainy season preparation projects, inspections of construction sites and facilities for strong winds during the thawing season, and strict adherence to political neutrality by public officials in the June 3 local elections.

At the meeting, 34 individuals, including 23 citizens recognized for outstanding elementary literacy education and 11 "highly skilled public servants," received commendations and shared their achievements.
