포스코DX는 3월 4일부터 6일까지 서울 코엑스에서 열리는 ‘스마트공장·자동화산업전(Automation World 2026)’에 참가해 그룹의 AX·DX 추진 사례와 핵심 기술 역량을 선보인다.
전시관은 ‘Your AX Journey with POSCO DX, the AI Native Company’를 주제로 △포스코DX Overview △AI Workforce △Intelligent Factory 등 3개 테마존으로 구성된다.
‘AI Workforce’ 존에서는 사무·제조 전반에 AI 에이전트가 사람과 협업하는 미래형 업무환경을 소개한다. ‘Intelligent Factory’ 존에서는 산업용 로봇 도입 전 과정을 지원하는 ‘Robotic Automation’과 가상 시뮬레이션 기반 설비 자율화를 구현하는 ‘Physical AI’ 기술을 전시한다.
OT·IT·AI 융합 기술이 적용된 항만하역기 자동화 시연과 가상환경에서 철강 코일을 하차하는 시운전 체험 공간도 마련돼 인텔리전트 팩토리 구현 과정을 현장에서 확인할 수 있다.
포스코DX는 AI 에이전트가 사람과 협업해 업무를 고도화하는 ‘AI Workforce’ 체계를 확대하고 있다. 사무 분야에는 반복 업무부터 전문 영역까지 수행하는 ‘AI Employee’를, 생산 현장에는 조업 상황을 모니터링·판단·제어하는 ‘AI Operator’를 개발해 적용 중이다.
또 AI 에이전트의 생성·운영·평가·재배치 등 전 생애주기를 통합 관리하는 자체 플랫폼 ‘에이전티(Agentee)’를 구축했다. 이를 위해 지난해 12월 ‘AI Workforce TF’를 신설하고 AX 전환 컨설팅, 에이전트 개발·운영을 전담하는 조직 체계를 마련했다.
현재 인사·구매·경영분석 등으로 확대해 총 110여 개의 AI 에이전트를 개발하고 있다. 회사 측은 ERP와 사업관리 시스템 데이터를 자동 검증해 결산·보고까지 수행하는 회계 AI 에이전트를 통해 업무 시간을 약 80% 단축했다고 밝혔다. 산업현장에서도 숙련 작업자 경험 데이터를 반영한 AI 모델을 적용해 설비 운전, 데이터 처리, 의사결정 자동화를 추진 중이다.
포스코DX는 고위험·고강도 작업 환경에 산업용 로봇을 도입하고, 이를 AI로 제어하는 ‘Physical AI’ 적용 범위를 넓히고 있다. 크레인, 항만하역기, 원료야드 리클레이머 등 설비에 형상인식 AI와 정밀 위치 제어 기술을 적용해 자동화 운영 체계를 구현하고 있다.
아울러 산업현장을 그대로 모사한 가상환경에서 최적화 AI 모델을 개발·검증하고, 원격 시운전까지 가능한 개발 체계를 구축해 현장 적용 속도를 높이고 있다.
한편, 포스코그룹 장인화 회장은 최근 임직원 소통행사에서 “지능형 자율제조와 최고 수준의 업무 역량, 새로운 가치 창출을 지향하는 ‘Mission Oriented AX’ 전략으로 전환해야 한다”며 “핵심 과제에 집중하고 외부 협력을 강화해 신속한 적용을 추진하겠다”고 밝힌 바 있다.

The "AI Workforce" zone showcases a future work environment where AI agents collaborate with people across office and manufacturing. The "Intelligent Factory" zone showcases "Robotic Automation," which supports the entire process of industrial robot adoption, and "Physical AI," which implements facility automation based on virtual simulations.
Visitors can also experience the process of implementing an intelligent factory on-site, with demonstrations of automated port unloading machines utilizing OT, IT, and AI convergence technologies, and a test run experience of unloading steel coils in a virtual environment.
POSCO DX is expanding its "AI Workforce" system, where AI agents collaborate with people to enhance work processes. In office work, the company is developing and deploying "AI Employees," which perform everything from repetitive tasks to specialized areas, and in production, the "AI Operators," which monitor, judge, and control operational conditions.
Furthermore, the company has established "Agentee," a proprietary platform that integrates the entire lifecycle of AI agents, including creation, operation, evaluation, and redeployment. To achieve this, the company established the "AI Workforce TF" in December of last year and established an organizational structure dedicated to AX conversion consulting, agent development, and operation.
