브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령이 이란을 향해 강도 높은 경고 메시지를 내놨다.
AP통신에 따르면 트럼프 대통령은 4일(현지시간) 백악관에서 열린 에너지 관련 라운드테이블 행사에서, 미국과 이스라엘의 공습으로 이란 최고 지도자가 사망한 이후 후임 선출이 진행 중인 상황을 언급하며 "지도자가 되고 싶어 하는 것처럼 보이는 사람은 결국 모두 죽음을 맞이한다"고 말했다.
그는 "우리는 현재 매우 강력한 위치에 있고, 저들의 지도부는 급격히 사라지고 있다"면서 "여러분의 눈앞에서 벌어지고 있는 일은 정말 놀랍고도 경이로운 일이다. 지난 47년 동안 우리는 (이란에) 휘둘려 왔지만, 그래서는 안 되는 일이었다"고 강조했다.
이어 이란 폭격의 성과를 부각하며 "엄청난 진전이 이뤄지고 있다. 저들의 미사일은 빠르게 궤멸되고 있고, 발사 시설 또한 궤멸되고 있다"고 밝혔다.
트럼프 대통령은 이번 작전에 대해서도 "누군가 10점 만점에 점수를 매기면 몇 점이냐고 묻기에 나는 15점이라고 답했다"고 말했다.
아울러 "미친 사람들이 핵무기를 가지면 나쁜 일이 일어난다"면서 이란 공격의 정당성을 강조하기도 했다.

US President Donald Trump has issued a strong warning to Iran.
