중견언론인들의 모임인 한국전문언론인협회(회장/김동성)는 3월 5일자 보도자료에서 신은주 가수에게‘2026문화예술인상’수여했다고 알렸다.
보도자료에 따르면 “문화예술인으로서 투철한 국가관과 사명감으로 자기 분야에서 성실한 행보를 보여왔으며, 문화예술계 발전에 모범적으로 이바지했다”고 밝혔다.
노래 <백마강변>으로 인기를 끌고 있는 신은주는 ‘한번뿐인 인생 이름석자 꼭 남기자’를 좌우명으로 성실한 가요활동을 보여왔으며, 2020년 국무총리상을 받은 바 있다.
신은주 가수는 “가수 겸 작사/작곡가님 김동찬 선생을 존경한다”면서 “내고향 부여 선배님이시기도한 김동찬 선생님은 모든 사람에게 겸손하시고 친절하시며 언제나 모든 일에 있어 철두철미하시다는 점에서 존경스럽다”고 했다.
