포항제철소, 이틀간 ‘사랑의 헌혈 캠페인’…생명 나눔 실천

포스코 포항제철소는 지난 4일부터 5일까지 이틀간 ‘사랑의 헌혈 캠페인’을 실시했다고 밝혔다. 이번 행사는 고령화로 헌혈 가능 인구가 줄어들면서 지역 의료 현장에서 혈액 수급에 어려움을 겪고 있는 상황을 돕기 위해 마련됐다.

행사는 생산관제센터와 중앙대식당, 본사 정문 앞 등 3개 장소에서 이동식 헌혈 차량을 운영하는 방식으로 진행돼 임직원들의 참여 편의를 높였다.

헌혈에 참여한 임직원들은 사전 자가 문진을 통해 건강 상태를 확인한 뒤 전문 의료진의 안내에 따라 혈압과 맥박 측정, 빈혈 수치 검사, 헌혈 제한 약물 복용 여부 확인 등 안전 절차를 거쳐 헌혈에 참여했다.

헌혈 행사를 진행한 대한적십자사 울산혈액원 관계자는 “최근 혈액 부족 현상이 지속되면서 치료 현장에서도 어려움이 커지고 있다”며 “포항제철소 임직원들의 꾸준한 헌혈 참여가 환자들에게 큰 도움이 되고 있다”고 말했다.

헌혈에 참여한 한 직원은 “작은 행동이지만 누군가의 생명을 지키는 데 도움이 될 수 있다는 생각으로 참여했다”며 “직접 나눔을 실천할 수 있어 더욱 뜻깊다”고 소감을 밝혔다.

포스코 포항제철소는 지난 2004년부터 ‘사랑의 헌혈 행사’를 매년 이어오며 안정적인 혈액 수급 지원과 지역사회 공헌 활동을 지속하고 있다.

An employee who participated in the blood drive commented, "It's a small gesture, but I participated because I thought it could help save someone's life. It's even more meaningful to be able to directly share."

POSCO Pohang Steel Works has been holding the "Love Blood Drive" annually since 2004, ensuring a stable blood supply and contributing to the local community.
